Hello, my name is Daniel Higginbotham, I originally started this for my wife Joanna. She recently started OCIA and has been learning a lot. She really enjoys when we pray together, so I thought I would make some videos of me praying some of the basic prayers to help her learn. It’s sort of like I am there praying with her even when I am away. Then I thought that maybe there are other folks that would rather pray with someone rather than always alone, or they may learn better this way, etc.

Regardless of why, I’m grateful you’ve found your way here. I am a cradle Catholic who, like many, wandered from the faith for a number of years before being called back home. Since returning, I have embraced a deeply prayerful life, and I feel moved to share that journey with anyone who may be seeking encouragement, peace, or simply someone to pray with.

This website is a companion to my YouTube channel, Daniel the Prayer Pilgrim, where I invite you to join me in prayer in a variety of settings—sometimes outdoors in God’s creation, other times in chapels or churches. Together, we will pray the Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and many other beautiful Catholic devotions. I will also share and teach some of the basic prayers and prayer methods that have helped me stay rooted in Christ.

Most importantly, this is a place of prayer, not debate. I welcome anyone, Catholic or not, who is in need of prayer or who simply wants to spend time in prayer with others. I also invite fellow prayer warriors to collaborate with me as we lift one another up.
